SOUTH BEND - Sherman C. ''Butch'' Manns, 46, of Kinyon Street, died of natural causes at 9:18 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Manns retired from Mohawk Flush Doors. He was born Dec. 17, 1949, in South Bend.

On Dec. 20, 1991, in South Bend, he married Marcia Burgess. She survives with two daughters, Nicole Manns of South Bend and Linda Ondrovic of Orlando, Fla.; a son, Carl of Alabama; three grandsons; his mother, Evadine Cauffman of South Bend; a sister, Sharon Snedaker of Mishawaka; and a brother, Donald Cauffman of South Bend. He was a member of Sod Busters Off-Road Club of South Bend and was a pit crewman at the South Bend Motor Speedway. He was an Army veteran.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
