SOUTH BEND - Helene Manning, 79, of South Bend, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008. She was born on September 23, 1929, in Canada. She was a devoted wife and beloved mother and will be remembered by friends and acquaintances who frequented her and her husband's KM booth at the South Bend Farmers Market. She will be missed by longtime friend, Rina Aucoin, and sister, Antoinette St. Pierre; five children, Donald, Patrick, Linda, Betty and Peter; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, and daughter, Elizabeth.

Friends may visit with her family on Thursday, October 2nd, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., South Bend. A Rosary will be at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3rd, in St. Matthew's Catholic Cathedral, 1701 Miami St., South Bend. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger.
