KNOX - David J. Mann, 82, of 9255 E. State Road 8, Knox, Ind., passed away on Friday, April 9, 1999, in Starke Memorial Hospital, Knox.

Mr. Mann was born on March 23, 1917, in Lambric, Ky., to Fred and Louise (Howard) Mann and lived in Starke County since 1928, coming from Rensselaer, Ind. He was a retired electrician.

On Sept. 29, 1969, in Wise, Va., he was married to Dorothy Krathwohl.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Shirley Clarke of South Bend; three stepsons, Robert Krathwohl of Bell, Fla., Roy Krathwohl of Lafayette, Ind., and Edward Krathwohl of New Port Richey, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Sharon Krathwohl of Knox and Sandra Skinner of Great Falls, Mont.; a brother, Ray Mann of Dunnellon, Fla.; a sister, Tressie of Hobesound, Fla.; two granddaughters; several step-grandchildren; and by nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David, Jr.; three sisters; and by two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Burial will be in the Fletcher Cemetery, Hamlet.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until the time of services Monday in the funeral home.
