Paul Mandich Sr., 84, of York Road, passed away at 3:05 AM Saturday, November 5, 2005, in Hospice House.
He was born on June 5, 1921, in South Bend, to Michael and Ann (Cicak) Mandich. Preceding him in death are his parents, and a sister, Helen Petkovich.
On July 27, 1946, in South Bend, IN, he married Rose Solomon, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Melanie Mandich of San Francisco, CA; and a son, Paul Mandich Jr. of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Olga Tatich of Huntington Beach, CA, Ann (Bud) Medich of South Bend; and a brother, Steven Mandich of Walworth, WI.
He retired in 1986 from Associates after 23 years of service as the manager of support services, and was a former Studebaker employee.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, November 7, 2005, at the St. Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox Church.
Burial will be at Southlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM today in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, and from 10 AM until time of services in the church Monday. A prayer service will be held at 7 PM today in the funeral home.
Paul was a Navy--Air Corps veteran of WWII, and a member of St. Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox Church, the Aleska Shantich Choir, Masonic Lodge #45, the Scottish Rite and the Serbian National Federation.
