Sister Mary Baptista CSC, died Thursday morning at Saint Mary’s Convent, after a brief illness. She was born Mary Emma Manderville in 1891 in Woodson, Ill. She entered the Sisters of the Holy Crosss in 1921 and received the habit of the congregation in 1922. She made her profession of vows in 1924. She was a registered nurse and, prior to her retirement to St. Mary’s Convent was infirmarian at the Provincial House here.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto on the St. Mary’s Campus. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and until services Saturday at the convent parlor.
