SOUTH BEND - Loretta M. Manchow, 70,
of Madison, Tenn., formerly of South Bend, died at 2:54 a.m.
Tuesday in Nashville (Tenn.) Memorial Hospital after an illness.
Mrs. Manchow was employed as a cashier by Rivergate Wal-mart, Goodlettsville,
Tenn., She was born July 21, 1925, in South Bend, and moved to Tennessee
five years ago. She is survived by a daughter, Frances J. Staley
of South Bend; a son, Steven D. Varro of Madison; two
granddaughters; a great-grandson; and three sisters, Ella Spaulding
of South Bend, Esther Harman of Mishawaka, and Clara Hostettler
of New Carlisle. She was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge 58.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday in Forest
G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St. Cremation will follow,
with burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may
call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorial
contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
