Mr. Fred B. Malone, 87, husband,
father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather
and uncle, who resided on Olive Street, South Bend, Ind.,
departed this life at 7:35 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, in the
Fountain View Nursing Home. On Sept. 2, 1915, in Greenfield,
Tenn., he was born to Henry and Gertrude (McDonald)
Malone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and
Gertrude Malone; a daughter, Debra Adams; and by a
brother, T.J. Malone. He had been a resident of South Bend since
1947.
In 1977 he united in Holy Matrimony with
Mable Douglas. Mr. Malone retired in 1985 after being a crane
operator for 15 years. Fred had been a member of Berean
Seventh-day Adventist for a number of years. Mr. Malone leaves to
cherish his memory his wife, Mable Malone; five daughters,
Yolanda (Ron) Gremer, Patty (Larry) Wright, Becky Thompson,
Mitzy (Steve) Howard and Tara Adams, all of South
Bend; five sons, Charles Henry (Patricia) Adams of
Cleveland, Ohio, George (Sharon) Adams, Cedric Adams and Dimitri
Adams, all of South Bend, and Kim (Linda) Adams of Canton, Miss.,
40 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren; two nephews, Eddie (Patricia) Jack
of Nashville, Tenn., and George Jack of Waco, Texas; a niece,
Faye Jack of Chicago, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Myrtle Malone of
South Bend; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Fred Malone will be
held today at 11 a.m. in the Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church,
601 W. Colfax, with a visitation one hour prior to service.
Interment will be at Highland Cemetery. Arrangements have been
entrusted to ALFORD'S MORTUARY.
