Mary Maio

MISHAWAKA - Mrs. Frank Maio, aged 60, of 904 N. Division Street, died at 11:00 o’clock Wednesday evening in the residence. She had been ill for three years. Mrs.. Maio was born in Italy and came here in 1914 from Messina, N.Y.

As Mary Tripipi, she married 44 years in Italy Michael Portolesi, who died Nov. 24, 1928. She was married Jan. 6, 1930 to Frank Maio, who survives. Surviving also are three daughters, Mrs. Conset Consenzzo and Mrs. Jennie Trimboli, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Betty Jarmono of Indianapolis; 14 grandchildren and two brothers, Philip Tripipi of Italy and Rocco Tripipi of Mishawaka.

The body may be viewed in the residence this evening and until the hour of the funeral Saturday morning at 8 o’clock. Rev. Anthony Badina will read the requiem mass in St. Matthew’s Catholic Church and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
