Joseph T. Mahon, 67, of 19595 Sherwood Street, died about 11:45
PM Sunday at
St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Mahon was an assistant for
36 years at
Lobund Laboratories, University of Notre Dame. He was born
October 27, 1920
in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On July 1,
1942, in South
Bend, he married Patricia Kintz, who survives. Also
surviving are two
daughters, Mary Ross of Mishawaka and Therese Stone of Walkerton;
three sons
John E. of Nappanee, Maury of Mishawaka and Larry of Houston,
Texas; seven
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Eileen
Loritsch of
Cape Cod, Maryland, and Sister Mary Mellita, R. S. M., of St.
Clair Shores,
Michigan. A son, Kevin, preceded him and death.
Hickey Funeral Home
Cleveland Road Chapel is in charge of all arrangements. Mr.
Mahon was a
member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Services for Joseph T. Mahon, 67, of 19595herwood Avenue, who died about 11:46 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m., today in Hickey Funeral Homes Cleveland Road Chapel, where a parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m.. Mr. Mahon was a a member of the University of Notre Dame Alumni Association. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
