Sister Mary Benedetta CSC, 74, of St. Mary’s College, died early Sunday morning in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend. She was born as Bridget Mahoney in County Galway, Ireland on Feb. 7, 1877.

Friends may call in the convent parlor at St. Mary’s until the funeral at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception, with burial in the community cemetery at St. Mary’s.
