Cheryl A. Mahoney, 44, of Third Street in Osceola, Ind., died at 7:46 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, Ind. Cheryl was born in Erie, Pa., on Sept. 18, 1959, to George and Sylvia (Johnson) Lindsay. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia Lindsay.

She married David E. Mahoney in Mishawaka on Aug. 15, 1997. Cheryl is survived by her father, George Lindsay of Mishawaka; her husband, David of Osceola; two daughters, Christina Helms of Goshen, Ind., and Bambi (Troy) Smith of Manchester, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Jazmyne, Danille, Brianna, Aubery, Vincent, Cody and Adam; two stepsons, Christopher Nowacki of Mishawaka and David Paul Nowacki of South Bend, Ind.; a sister, Naomi Dixon of Mishawaka; and by a brother, Paul Clark of Florida.

Cheryl worked as a bookkeeper for Carl's Distributing of Mishawaka. She was a member of the American Legion Post 161 Lady's Auxiliary.

She was a loving and caring person who will be missed by her friends and family.
