SOUTH BEND — Gerald C. Madigan, 77, of Holy Cross Village, University of Notre Dame, died at 1:25 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital of lung cancer. Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline (Cassidy); five sons, John M. of Indianapolis, Gerald of Boulder, Colo., Patrick of Pheonix, David of Duxbury, Mass., and Timothy of New York; two stepdaughters, Barbara Klotz of Fort Wayne and Kelly Mini of Western Springs, Ill.; two stepsons, Kevin Cassidy of Chicago and Chip Cassidy of Delray Beach, Fla.; and a sister, Mary of Detroit. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Parish Center Chapel, Notre Dame. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, where a wake service will be at 7 p.m.
