Francesco G. Macri, 94, of William
Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 6:55 a.m. Saturday, Feb.
28, in the Saint Joseph Medical Center.
Mr. Macri worked for the Art Mosaic Tile
Company in South Bend. He was born on Dec. 8, 1909, in Siderno
Marina, Italy.
On Jan. 8, 1931, in Siderno, he married
Maria C. Nicolleti, who died on June 4, 2000. Frank was
also preceded in death by six sons and a daughter.
Surviving are three daughters, Concetta
(Carmelo) Maugeri, Maria (Frank) Lizzi and Rosa
Macri, all of South Bend; six sons, Edward (Katarina) Macri of
Australia, Dominic (Frances) Macri, Nick (Margaret) Macri, Sam
Macri and Cosimo (Tammy) Macri, all of South Bend, and Tony Macri
of Mishawaka, Ind.; 25 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren;
a sister, Carmella Moser of South Bend; and a brother,
Joseph (Jean) Macri of Tulsa, Okla.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, in Our Lady of Hungary
Catholic Church, South Bend.
Entombment will follow at Highland Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m.
Monday, March 1, in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble
Ave., South Bend, where a Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our
Lady of Hungary Catholic Church or to the American Heart
Association.
