MISHAWAKA - Ralph Joseph Macrelli, 90, of Mishawaka,
passed away Sunday, May 20, in Tanglewood Trace, Mishawaka. Ralph
was born on October 24, 1916, in Mishawaka, as the son of
Giovanni "John" and Lena (Tomei) Macrelli. He
was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother, Joe.
Surviving Ralph are his sisters, Mary Meixel of Mishawaka and Lucy Griffin of Sun City, CA. He had many nieces and nephews and loved them all. Uncle Ralph will be truly missed. He spent much of his time reading and enjoying his time at home. He was a lifetime area resident. Ralph worked as a machinist for Dodge Manufacturing for 43 years and retired in 1980. He was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church. Ralph was a veteran of the United States Army where he served his country proudly during WWII.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 24, in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Entombment will follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions in Ralph's name may be made to St. Bavo Catholic School.
