Edmund A. Maciejewski: (South Bend Tribune 11/17/2004)
July 19, 1932 -- Nov. 15, 2004 Edmund A. Maciejewski, 72,
of Beth Ann Drive, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 3:49 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 15, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. He was
born in LaPorte, Ind., on July 19, 1932, to Edmund M. and Myrtle
(Kowalewski) Maciejewski, who preceded him in death. On June 23,
1956, Edmund married Lucille M. Walczak. Surviving Edmund are his
wife, Lucille; children, Pam (Glen) Borton of South Bend, Joseph
(Cindy) Maciejewski of Morrisville, N.C., Jean (Todd) Kwapis and
Jennifer (John) Kehoe, both of South Bend; grandchildren,
Courtney, Nickolas, Garrett, Joshua, Jacob, Ashley and John IV;
great-granddaughter, Taylor; and three sisters, Marge Horvath of
New Carlisle, Ind., Theresa (Joe) Barilich and Cecelia (Harold)
Rowe, both of South Bend. Edmund retired in 1994 from the Indiana
State Board of Health. He was a member of Holy Family Church, the
American Legion Post #357, where he also coached baseball for
nine years. Edmund was a huge Notre Dame fan and took many road
trips to see them play. A memorial Mass will be at 1 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 18, in Holy Family Church. St. Joseph
Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's
choice.
