GRANGER - Alexander W. MacDonald, 64, of Summit Hill Court, died at 11:55 a.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mr. MacDonald was employed by AM General Corp. as general manager of service parts and logistic operations.

He was born March 21, 1931, in Pittsburgh and lived in Granger for 14 years. On April 11, 1966, in Winchester, Va., he married Patricia Graham. She survives with a son, Alexander G. of South Bend; his mother, Betty MacDonald of Ligonier, Pa.; two sisters, Norma Thomas of Newark, Ohio, and Betty Joan Matson of Ligonier; and a brother, Robert of Virginia Beach, Va. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Society Automotive Engineers, the alumni associations of the U.S. Naval Academy and the University of Georgia and Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, and was a Navy veteran.

Services and burial will be in Ligonier. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Rescue Mission or Salvation Army.
