Kathy Mabry, 39, of Newburgh, Ind.,
passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday,
Sept. 20, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Kathy was born on Dec. 4,
1961, in South Bend, Ind., graduated from LaSalle High School in
1980 and Purdue University in 1985. After graduation, she moved
to Evansville, Ind., and was employed by O'Neal Steel.
She is survived by her mother, Jean Mabry of
South Bend; seven brothers, Bill (Jill Ridenour), Brian (Laura),
Scott (Janine Badman), Mike (Gina), Jim and Bob "Duke"
(Laurie), all of South Bend, and Tom of Indianapolis, Ind. She
was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Maureen; and by her
father, Robert W. Mabry. Kathy will be missed by her many nieces
and nephews, Angie, Derek, Sean and Alanna Mabry, Matt, Desi,
Briana and Michael Mabry, Michael and Christina Kujawski,
Alex, Abbie and Emma Mabry. She will also be remembered by her
cherished family of friends from the Evansville area, as well as
by Sammy and Rooney.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8
p.m. today, Sept. 23, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N.
Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a 7 p.m. wake service will be
held. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept.
24, in Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Bend, with burial to
follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Memorial
contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to
Holy Cross Church.
