A. Thomas Lynch

February 2, 1924 – January 25, 1988

A Thomas Lynch, 63, of 319 N. William St., died at 8pm Monday at St Joseph’s Medical Center.  Mr. Lynch was employed in industrial management in South Bend and the University of Notre Dame for 30 years.

He was born February 2, 1924, in Mount Pleasant MI, and lived in South Bend for 38 years, coming from Mount Pleasant.  On September 1, 1948, in Stockton CA, he married Elizabeth Jane McKee, who survives.  Also surviving are five daughters, Laura Hoover and Megan Lynch, both of South Bend, Lucy Lynch of Eugene OR, Mary Michael Lynch of Paia, Maui, Hawaii, and Sarah Hadley of Indianapolis; a son, Brogan T. of Juneau, Alaska; a granddaughter; a sister, Margaret Anne Flynn of Detroit; and two brothers, John W. of San Diego and Richard of Virginia.

Services will be at 10am Thursday at Sacred Heart Church.  Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Wednesday at Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd., where a parish rosary will be said at 7:30pm.  He was a member of the church and the Roundtable and veteran of WW II.
