SOUTH BEND - Irene S. Lyczynski, 93, passed away at 5:15 p.m.
Sunday, May 2, 2010, in Miller's Merry Manor, New Carlisle. Irene
was born on July 9, 1916, in Racine, WI, to Joseph and Julia
(Elles) Sipocz. She retired from Bendix and was a member of Holy
Family Church and the Cluster and Grandmothers Club of St. Hedwig
Church. Surviving are a son, Joseph (Linda) Lyczynski of South
Bend; two grandchildren, Joseph Allen Lyczynski of South Bend and
Brian Keith Lyczynski of Hot Springs, AR; a great-grandchild,
Courtney Rose Lyczynski; a brother, Joseph Sipocz of Mishawaka;
and a sister-in-law, Anna Sipocz of South Bend. Irene was
preceded in death by a great-grandson, Tyler Joseph Lyczynski,
and a brother, Richard Sipocz. The family would like to thank the
entire staff at Miller's Merry Manor in New Carlisle for taking
care of my mother for the last three years. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010, in
Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Highland
Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-7 Wednesday in the
Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, where a Rosary will
be recited at 4:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to
Holy Family Church or to the Center for Hospice and Palliative
