Esther Mary Lyczynski: (South Bend Tribune 1/19/1987)

Esther Mary Lyczynski, 68, of 51815 Portage Road, died a 10:30 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Mrs. Lyczynski retired in 1980 from the University of Notre Dame. She was born Nov. 22, 1918, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On July 24, 1943, in South Bend, as Esther Mary Stachurski, she married Joseph Lyczynski, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Tina Wlochowski and Deborah Wojtasik, both of South Bend; two sons, Thomas of Chandler, Ariz., and David of South Bend; and two grandchildren. Services will be at noon Wednesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. She was a member of Woodmen of the World.
