Patricia A. Luther, 72, of Emerson Avenue, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 2:06 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 31, in Memorial Hospital. She was born on Jan. 22, 1932, in South Bend, to Frank and Monica "Mamie" (Miller) Wisniewski, who preceded her in death along with a brother, Reynold "Sweeney" Wisniewski, and a granddaughter, Tommy Lynn Gregory, who passed away in May 1973. As Patricia Ciesiolka, she married Richard Luther on Jan. 23, 1965. Surviving Patricia is her husband, Richard; three daughters, Cynthia (Donald) Diederich of Stevensville, Mich., Marcia (Patrick) Zielinski of South Bend and Debra (Douglas) McMurtrie of South Bend; a son, Brian (Mary "Ann") Ciesiolka of Mishawaka, Ind.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Tabler of New Carlisle, Ind., and Karen (Edward) Starzynski of South Bend; one brother, Robert (Patricia) Wisniewski of South Bend; and many nieces and nephews. She began working at Scottsdale Mall as a custodian when it opened in 1976, remaining there until her retirement in 1998. Pat loved many things in life like having garage sales, going to estates sales, reading, working with flowers that grew in the yard; but most of all, she loved her family and cherished family gatherings for holiday dinners. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 2, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 3, in the funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind.
