25, 2009MISHAWAKA - Noelene Thode-Lutes, 66, of West Leyte Avenue, Mishawaka, passed away in Memorial Hospital South Bend on Friday, September 25th, following a brief illness. She was born in LaPorte, Indiana, to Noel and Marion (Kinzie) Nebelung, who preceded her in death. She married Robert Lutes in South Bend on June 9th, 2001. He survives with her son and daughter, Larry (Kay) Thode of Monroe, Louisiana, and Lisa (Mark) Monroe of Osceola; and three stepchildren, Stoney (Brandi) Lutes of Elkhart, Jason (Angela) Lutes of Elkhart and Becky Martin of Montezuma, Indiana. Eight grandchildren also survive. Noelene was retired from St. Mary's College after 25 years as an administrative secretary. She was a member of Granger Community Church and the Secret Sisters Society. There will be a memorial service at 1:00 pm Tuesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka. Friends will be received one hour prior to the services on Tuesday. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Waltz. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society .
