SOUTH BEND - Evelyn Louise Lupa, 66, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 22, 2008, in her home. Evelyn was born March 25, 1941, to Louis and Ruth Pipke. She was a sibling to six brothers. Evelyn retired from K-Mart and then was employed by Sherwood Industries of Elkhart until 2006.

On April 30, 1960, as Evelyn Pipke, she married Thomas Lupa, who preceded her in death in 1997. A daughter, Tommie Baney, also preceded her in death in September 2006. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara (Charles) Lilly of Granger, Indiana; a son, Steven (Cheryl) Lupa of South Bend, Indiana; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2008, in Kaniewski Funeral Home, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Indiana.
