Helen V. (Ross) Lundstrom, 76, of Osceola, Ind., passed away on Dec. 29, 2000 in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, Ind., of natural causes. Mrs. Lundstrom was born Dec. 30, 1923 to Joseph and Julia (Bubelenyi) Ross in South Bend.

On Jan. 25, 1947, Helen married Richard Lundstrom in South Bend. Richard preceded her in death passing away in 1995. Also preceding her in death are her brothers, Joseph Ross, Ernest Ross and Frank Ross; and her sisters, Isabelle Gizewski and Julia Cain. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kristine Shaffer and her husband Johnny of Niles, Mich.; three brothers, William Ross of South Bend, Steve Ross of South Bend, and Alex Ross of LaPorte; three sisters, Rose Burnette of Fort Myers, Fla., Velma Whitteberry of Osceola, Ind., and Mary Rzeszewski of South Bend; as well as her grandchildren, Jason Gordon of Osceola, and Kristi Gordon of Niles.

Mrs. Lundstrom was a graduate of Washington High School in South Bend. She was a homemaker. Memberships include the Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mishawaka.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today, Jan. 1, 2001 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, where a Rosary service will be held at 5:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001 at 11 a.m. in Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mishawaka, with entombment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola. Memorial donations may be made to the church, or the Humane Society of South Bend.
