Hattie Lukasiewicz

Oct. 9, 1911 - Sept. 27, 2000

Hattie Lukasiewicz, 88, of Evergreen Lane, South Bend, Ind., died at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27, in Memorial Hospital.

She was born on Oct. 9, 1911, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Lukasiewicz retired from the former Wilson Brothers. As Hattie Kalka she married Edward Lukasiewicz, who preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1976. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Mary Kalka; and by 10 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by a son, Donald (Joan) Lukasiewicz of South Bend; four grandchildren, David Lukasiewicz, Thomas (Judy) Lukasiewicz, Donald Lukasiewicz Jr. and Karen Lukasiewicz, all of South Bend; and by one great-grandchild, Tracie Dawn Lukasiewicz of South Bend.

Mrs. Lukasiewicz was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, in the funeral home, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
