Walter J. Lugaresi

MISHAWAKA - Walter J. Lugaresi of South Spring Street, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 1997, in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend, after an illness. Mr. Lugaresi was born April 30, 1922 in Walton, Ind., and was a lifelong area resident. Walt is survived by a daughter, Nita Spriggs of South Shore, Ky., one brother, Delmar of Bishop, Texas; two sisters, Dina Galassi of Wakarusa and Mary Kuntz of Mishawaka; and two granddaughters, Melissa Gullett and Crystal Burgess. One sister, Nita Nove preceded him in death.

Mr. Lugaresi was the former manager of Regal Lanes for 10 years, retiring in 1985. He was a World War II Army veteran, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360 and the DeAmicis Club of Mishawaka.

Private funeral services will be Monday, June 2, at 2 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., with Rev. James Shafer officiating. Entombment will follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum.
