Sister Mary Vincent Ludwig CSC, 74,
of St. Mary’s Convent, died Saturday evening in St. Joseph
Hospital, South Bend of head injuries suffered in an automobile
accident on Sept. 6th at Michigan Street and Angela
Blvd. She was born Madeline Ludwig on Dec. 5, 1898 in
Elkhart C ounty. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of
the Holy Cross on Aug. 15, 1919 and made her vows on Aug. 15,
1921. She served as a music teacher at schools in Illinois,
Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Texas and Utah.
Services will be today in Our Lady of
Loretto Church with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery at St.
Mary’s.
