WALKERTON - Eleanor D. Ludwig, 84, passed away Wednesday, March 28, in Miller's Merry Manor, Walkerton. Eleanor was born June 16, 1922, in Robinson, IL, to the late Verus and Zelpha (York) Johnson, and had lived in the Walkerton area for 47 years, coming from Adamstown, PA.

On November 6, 1943, in Shillington, PA, she was married to Agnew A. Ludwig, who preceded her in death in 1994. She is survived by three sons, Donald (Brenda) Ludwig of Hebron, Stephen (Judy) Ludwig of South Bend and David (Rhonda) Ludwig of Walkerton; grandchildren, Jeff Patterson, Danielle Kessler, Jaime Ludwig, Angela Ludwig, Sara Ludwig, Kristin Ludwig, Pamela Ludwig and Amanda Dreibedis; and by three step-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Walkerton United Methodist Church. She was active in helping with Real Services and wrote weekly nutrition articles for the Walkerton Herald.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. EST Saturday, April 14, in the Walkerton United Methodist Church, with Pastor Charlene Allen officiating. Visitation with the family will be April 14 one hour before services in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Walkerton United Methodist Church, 1000 Georgia St., Walkerton, IN 46574; or to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637. Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, is handling arrangements.
