Edith M. Luciani, 86, of South Bend, passed away Thursday morning, April 7, 2005, in Healthwin Specialized Care Facility. Edith was born Nov. 29, 1918, in Nice, France, a daughter of Leon and Olga (Roqui) Mazars. She moved to South Bend from France in 1950.

Edith worked for 19 years at Empire Box and 15 years at Radio Furniture Mart. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and formerly belonged to St. Patrick Church. Edith enjoyed collecting porcelain and steins. Edith's surviving family includes her son, Christian L. Luciani of South Bend and a half brother, Bernard Blanc. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Giselaine Troyer.

A private burial will take place today (Friday) at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Thallemer, Goethals and Wells Funeral Home, 503 West Third Street, Mishawaka is serving the family.
