William B. Luchene

William B. Luchene, 78, of North Judson, passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at the VNA Horton Hospice Center in Valparaiso. He was born June 14, 1924, in Hammond the son of Albert and Marybelle (Ball) Luchene. He served with the U.S. Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater of operation and retired from Bethlehem Steel Burns Harbor Plant in 1986 with over 20 years of service.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Joyce (Wildasin) Luchene; two sons, Dan Luchene of Merrillville, Jim (Vicki) Luchene of Logansport; one brother, Don (Louise) Luchene of DeMotte; one sister-in-law, Jean Luchene of Merrillville; three grandchildren, Tom, Cheryl and Shawn and two great grandchildren, Tiffany and Gabriel. He was precede in death by his parents and one brother, Albert.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 1 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso, Pastor Jeff Little officiating with burial at Memory Lane Cemetery in Schererville. Visitation Tuesday 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
