SOUTH BEND - Chester M. Lubelski, 76, of
Poppy Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday
in Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac, Mich. Mr. Lubelski was born
on Nov. 11, 1921, in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident. He
retired in January, 1987 from RACO Inc., after 42 years of
service.
On June 19, 1943, in South Bend, he married
Lucille F. Rajski, who survives. He is also survived by a
daughter, Susan P. (Kenneth Sr.) Tschida of Leesburg,
Virginia; three sons, James T. (Jeanne) Lubelski of Cassopolis,
Mich., Donald F. (Joanne) Lubelski of Elkhart, Ind., and Ernest
E. (Tammy) Lubelski of South Bend; six grandchildren, Christopher
Lubelski of White Cloud, Mich., Rick Lubelski of Cassopolis,
Mich., Heather Lubelski of Humburg, Germany, Kenneth Tschida, Jr.
and Jackie Tschida, both of Leesburg, Virginia, and Garrett
Lubelski of South Bend; a step-grandson, Andy Clendenin of
South Bend; three great grandchildren, Branden and Brittney
Lubelski, both of White Cloud, Mich., and Christian Tschida of
Leesburg, Virginia; two sisters, Jenny (Stanley) Wroblewski
and Virginia Brzezinski, both of South Bend; and by two
brothers, Leonard (Betty) and Benny Lubelski, both of South Bend.
Mr. Lubelski was a member of St. Stanislaus
Parish and was a WWII Army Veteran.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at
10 a.m. on Friday in St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will follow in
St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on
Wednesday and 1 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in the Kaniewski Funeral
Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish Rosary will be recited
at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
