"Ray F. Lowman
Ray F. Lowman, 63,
of 1906 Randolph St., South Bend, formerly of Mishawaka, died at
13:25 p.m. Saturday in the Elkhart General Hospital, after a
one-month illness. Born in Rochester, Ind., on Nov. 8,
1909, he had lived in Mishawaka almost all his life, coming from
Rochester. He moved to South Bend in November, 1972.
On April 17, 1938, he married Roberta Drew in Mishawaka.
She survives, in addition to a son, Frank, of St. Petersburg,
Fla,; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Banicki, with whom he lived,
Mrs. W. T. Norton of Atlanta, Ga., and Mrs Andrew Blasa of
Wakarusa; a step-daughter, Mrs. Lee Mulkey of Salem, Ore.; four
sisters, Mrs. Eva Barnette of Granger, and Mrs. Treva Barnette,
Mrs. Carl Wellman and Mrs. George Van Bruaene of Mishawaka, 17
grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Bubb Funeral Chapel,
where services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Raymond D.
Harris, pastor of the First Christian Church will officiate and
burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial
contributions can be made in the First Christian Church, of which
he was a member. He was employed by A. J. Security Inc., of
Wakarusa."
