Mrs.
Joyce Alice Low, 66, of 2376 Mary Street, Niles, Mich., died
following an extended illness at 2:32 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28,
in Rochester Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn.
Mrs.
Low was born on Jan. 18, 1933, at Niles, to Earle and Helen (Robbins)
Hahn, and had lived in this area all of her life. She was
graduated from Southwestern Michigan College in 1983, earning an
associate degree in business.
With
her husband, she co-founded Low Associates computer software
services in South Bend, Ind., and had recently retired from
managing that office. She previously served as Director of Transpor-tation
and Food Services for the Brandywine Public School, Niles.
She
was a 25-year Silver Circle member of the Beta Sigma Phi
sorority. She enjoyed camping, but mostly enjoyed time spent with
her grandchildren and following their athletic activities.
On
July 19, 1952, in South Bend, she was married to Larry L. Low,
who survives. She is also survived by their children and their
spouses, Kevin and Laura Low, Kerry and Dorothy Low, Kelly and
Judy Low, and Kim and Gary Newman, all of Niles;
grandchildren, Shawn Low, Joshua Low, Erica Low, Jenna Newman,
Andrew Low, Melissa Low, Alex Newman, Kyle Low and Emily Low;
great-grandchildren, Samantha Low and Danielle Low; and her
sisters, Nancy Larson of Naples, Fla., and Betty Opfer
of Niles.
She
was preceded in death by a brother, Laurence Hahn.
Funeral
services for Joyce A. Low will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2,
in Wesley United Methodist Church, Niles, with the Rev. Nolan R.
Williams of the church officiating. Committal services will
follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles.
The
family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on
Monday in the Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles.
