Sister Lucia Marie CSC, 48, died at Saint
Mary’s Convent this morning following a lengthy illness. She
was born Frances Lovett, in Beard, Texas Feb. 15, 1915. She was
educated in Texas and entered the Sisters of the Holy Cross in
1934, receiving the habit the same year. She made her final vows
in 1939. During her community life she was assigned to convents
in Washington DC, Texas and Boston, Mass.
The requiem high mass will be offered in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto at St. Mary’s convent at 7 a.m. Monday, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call in the convent parlor.
