MISHAWAKA - Robert P. Lovett Sr., 79, passed away on
Sunday, March 2, in Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa. Robert was
born on July 4, 1928, in Mishawaka, as the son of Ernest and
Lillian (Hunt) Lovett. He was preceded in death by his
parents, and by a daughter, Ann Sill.
On March 24, 1951, in First United Methodist
Church, Mishawaka, he married the former Ema Lou Fee.
Surviving Robert are his loving wife, Ema Lou; three daughters,
Jennifer (Milo) James of Boonville, NC, Susan (Gary) Cole
of Wakarusa, IN, and Mary Abigail (Steven) Wiseman of
Mishawaka; a son, Robert P. (Janet) Lovett Jr. of Granger; a
son-in-law, John Sill of Granger; nine grandchildren,
Lacy, Suzanne, Douglas, Emily, Zachary, Jacob, Paige, Chelsea and
Gordon; three step-grandchildren, Cameron, Caleb and Angel; two
sisters, Idabel Goodrich of Leesburg, IN, and Vivian Scott
of Mentone, CA. Robert was a graduate of Purdue University; he
was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving his country
during the Korean War. He owned Coffield Supply Corp. before
retiring in 1996. He was also a member of First United Methodist
Church, Mishawaka. Robert was a loving, caring man who enjoyed
spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m.
Wednesday, March 5th, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street,
Mishawaka, with visitation one hour prior, with Rev. Greg Timmons
officiating. Private family burial will take place. In lieu of
flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made
to Alzheimer's Services of Northern Indiana, 922 E. Colfax Ave.,
South Bend, IN 46617; or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society,
Indiana Chapter, 941 E. 86th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN
46240-1842.
