SOUTH BEND - Doris M. Love, 78, residing in South Bend,
formerly of Bass Lake, passed away at 2:20 p.m. on Saturday,
March 1, 2008, in Regency Place of South Bend. Mrs. Love was born
on December 6, 1929, in Chicago, IL, and had lived most of her
life in Bass Lake, residing in South Bend for the past two years.
In 1947, in Chicago, she married Richard Royster,
who preceded her in death in 1962. In May 1963, in Chicago, she
married Harry Morgan, who preceded her in death in 1982.
In 1994, in Knox, Doris married Ed Love, who preceded her in
death in 1998. Her father and step-mother, Robert and Sally
Miller, and Doris's mother, Clara (Banker) Miller, all
have passed away.
Doris is survived by two daughters, Susan
(Pat) Gurthet and Jill (Bobby) Hanby, both of South
Bend; three sons, Wayne (Susie) Morgan of Indianapolis,
Scott Morgan of Seoul, Korea, and Richard (Glenda) Royster
of St. John, IN; 10 grandchildren, Alan Morgan, Ryan Morgan,
Nicholas Morgan, Carrie Royster, Kyle Royster, Stephen Gurthet,
Joe Gurthet, Rachel Gurthet, Sean Gurthet and Jason Decker;
and four brothers, Robert (Pat) Miller of Knox, Louis
(Sheryl) Miller of California, Curtis (Karen) Miller of Rochester
and Michael (Joanne) Miller of Tucson, AZ. Mrs. Love was a member
of the First United Methodist Church in Knox and was formerly
active with the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Knox. She was formerly
employed with the Next Door Food Store in Knox.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m.
on Thursday, March 6, 2008, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger
Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend. Friends may visit
with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5th, in the
funeral home. Private burial will take place at Crown Hill
Cemetery, Knox, IN.
