SOUTH BEND - Eugene William Louderback, 77, of Maple Lane, died at 8:37 a.m. Tuesday in his home after an illness. Mr. Louderback retired as an operative plasterer and cement mason. He was born April 18, 1918, in Fulton County, and lived in South Bend most of his life.

On July 6, 1940, in South Bend, he married Phyllis Strong. She survives with two daughters, Gloria Jean Dover and Linda Lou Vicsik, both of South Bend; a son, Richard of South Bend; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Priscilla Williams of South Bend.

He was a member of Masons Local 101 and Studebaker Drivers Club. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Entombment will be in Highland Mausoleum. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
