SOUTH BEND - Alex L. ''Al'' Lott, 86, of North Ironwood Drive, died at 2:50 a.m. today in his home. Mr. Lott retired in 1974 from South Bend Tribune as a printer after 25 years of service. He was born July 12, 1909, in South Bend.
On Sept. 14, 1935, in South Bend, he married Mary Kovacsics. She survives with a daughter, Karen Arens of Hoffman Estates, Ill.; a son, Robert A. of Palatine, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was a member of Elks Lodge 235, South Bend Press Club, Knights of Columbus Santa Maria Council 553, and St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the church. Entombment will be in Highland Mausoleum. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd., where a parish rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m.
