Matilda Long

January 29, 1891 – May 22, 1989

Matilda Long, 98, of Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal, died at 4:30am today in the nursing home. 

Mrs. Long was born January 29, 1891, in Plymouth and was a lifelong area resident.  On August 27, 1921, in South Bend, as Matilda Guilling, she married Earl Long.  He died April 24, 1969.  She is survived by a son, Eugene of South Bend; and a sister, Stella Schaeffer of South Bend

Private services and burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9pm Wednesday at Hahn-Ballard Funeral Home, 118 @ Mill St., Mishawaka.
