MISHAWAKA - Mary J. Long, 89, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away at 12:20 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2008, in Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation, South Bend, IN. Mary was born to Henry and Ida Yenna in Bremen, IN, on November 2, 1918. On October 16, 1937, in Rochester, IN, she married Paul L. Long. Mary had lived in the Mishawaka and South Bend area for 65 years. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, and a son, Dale Long in 1983. She is survived by a son, Donald and his wife, Linda Long; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; 22 nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Mary retired in 1985 from the University of Notre Dame where she worked as a library clerk after 13 years. She was a member of the Howard Park Euchre Club and the Battell Center Euchre Club.

Family and friends may call on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, where funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 12, at 1 p.m. and where visitation will be on Tuesday again from 11 a.m. until the time of services. Rev. Ervin Mize will officiate the services, with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
