Ervin F. Lodyga, 91, of Holy Cross
Care and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of S. Tuxedo Drive,
passed away at 3:25 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2002, in the care
center. Mr. Lodyga was born March 30, 1910, to John and
Antoinette (Kubiak) Lodyga, who both preceded him in
death. His sister, Alice Morris, also preceded him in
death. He retired in 1972 from the Bendix Corporation.
On July 15, 1933, in South Bend, he married
Henrietta Kuczmanski, who preceded him in death on May 31,
2001. Surviving are his two sons, Dr. Ervin J. (Patricia) Lodyga
of Granger, IN., and Richard M. (Eileen) Lodyga of San Clemente,
CA.; five grandchildren, Lynn (Michael) Disbrow, Lisa
(David) Uhl, Michelle (Daniel) Generaux, Lee
(Cynthia) Lodyga and Michael Lodyga; and three
great-grandchildren, Matthew Disbrow, Nicole Disbrow and Jack
Uhl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at
10 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2002, in St. Anthony de Padua
Church. Entombment will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may
call from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday in the church. He was a
member of the Knights of Columbus Santa Maria Council #553 and
the Loyal Order of the Moose #58. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to St. Anthony de Padua Church or Holy
Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center.
