SOUTH BEND - Walter L. Liszewski, 85, of Queen Street, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday in Northwood Nursing Home. Mr. Liszewski retired in 1972 from Bendix Corp. He was born Feb. 18, 1908, in South Bend.

On May 21, 1937, in South Bend, he married Rose Kloski. She died Oct. 12, 1992. He is survived by a daughter, Joan Swarm of South Bend; a son, Robert; one grandchild; a brother, Ernest of South Bend; and a half-brother, Eddie Kush of Osceola. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.
