Sister Mary Victorine CSC, 85, of Saint Mary’s Convent died there at 5:40 a.m. today, after an extended illness. She was born Helen Margaret Liston on March 9, 1891 in Zanesville, Ohio, and entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s on Jan. 6, 1912. She made her profession of vows on Aug. 14, 1915. She taught at St. Joseph Academy and in schools in Hammond, Michigan City and Plymouth, and at schools in California and Utah.. She had resided at Our Lady of Holy Cross Convent here from 1968 to 1971.

Friends may call today and Saturday in the St. Mary’s Convent Parlors, where a rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m. today. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday if Our Lady of Loretto Church with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, St. Mary’s.
