Jerald Ray "Jerry" Lisenko, 49, of McKinley Hwy, Osceola, passed away after a two year courageous battle with cancer, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, on the morning of Dec. 29th.

Jerry was born on May 30, 1955, in South Bend, to John Lisenko and Barbara Carmack. He was preceded in death by his father, John, on Dec 29, 1983, 21 years to the day.

On August 27, 1988, in South Bend, he married the former Beth Paluzzi, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Barbara Sausman, of South Bend; daughter, Caitlin Lisenko, living at home; a son, Jerald R. Lisenko Jr. of South Bend; two sisters, Kathy (Bill) Alerding of South Bend and Tenette (Victor) Verhaegen of South Bend; two brothers, Daniel (Linda) of South Bend and John (Kathy) of Michigan City, IN; and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was a truck driver for a local trucking firm. He was a loving husband, a devoted father and a caring son and brother. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his friends and especially his family. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him, but never forgotten.

Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, January 2, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 3 in the funeral home with Rev. Charles Zawistowski of Saint Mary's Parish-Polish National, officiating, with a rosary at 7 p.m.

The family would like to give their heartfelt Thank You to family and co-workers and to Dr. Juan Garcia for all of their tender care, love and support through these difficult times.
