SOUTH BEND - Patsy J. Lindsey, 73, passed away at 3:55
p.m. on Monday, April 28th, in the Saint Joseph Care Center.
Patsy was born June 11, 1934, in St. Joseph County, to the late
William Lassie (Worthington) Miller.
On September 5, 1953, in Lydick United
Methodist Church, Patsy married James Lindsey. He survives along
with their children, Deborah "Cramer" Lindsey of South
Bend, Douglas (Michael O'Shea) Lindsey of South Bend, Cynthia
(David) Bauer of Niles and Nancy Jo (Wayne) Tulledge
of South Bend; grandchildren, Marci, Bryce, Hilary, Garrett,
Missy, Brandon, Blake and Alex; eight great-grandchildren; a
sister, Alice Erhardt of South Bend; a brother, John
(Betty) Miller of New Carlisle; and many nieces and nephews.
Patsy was a foster parent for 11 children for four years. A baby
sitter for countless children for many years and was a former
Brownie and Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed baking and cooking,
sewing, knitting, crocheting and gardening. She kept a green
house. Patsy enjoyed traveling by car with her husband visiting
48 states, Canada and Mexico. The family would like to thank her
niece, Marion, and loyal friend, Belinda, for all their special
love and care. Also a thank you to the Saint Joseph Care Center
and to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Joseph County for their
wonderful care and support.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8
p.m. Thursday, May 1, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S.
Mayflower Road. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday,
May 2, in the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's
Association.
