SOUTH BEND - Kenneth "Gerard" Lindsey, 63, of
South Bend, peacefully passed away at 5:11 p.m. Saturday,
September 6th, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was
the eldest child born to Kenneth E. and Dorothy L. (Kilbride)
Lindsey. He was raised in the Lydick community and was a 1964
graduate of New Carlisle High School. Everyone knew Ken
"Gerard" as a kind and gentle person. He was a U.S.
Navy veteran who served two tours in Vietnam aboard the U.S.S.
Biddle. He worked many years in security at South Bend Regional
Airport, and retired from Magnum Security. Ken was an avid sports
fan who enjoyed the Cubs, Bears and Notre Dame. Also surviving
along with is parents are a sister, Roxanne (Dave) Gunter
of Niles, MI; a brother, Al (Roseann) Lindsey of South Bend; a
niece, Alie M. (Greg) Buerk; a nephew, Travis J. (Wendy) Stevanson;
and three great-nieces, Taylor and Paige Stevanson, and Willow
Buerk.
In respect for Ken's wishes, no visitation
or services will be held. Cremation will take place at Welsheimer
Crematory. Ken's family would like to thank the staff at Hospice
for their special and attentive care. Contributions in Ken's
