SOUTH BEND - Stephanie H. Lindorf, 90, passed away Monday,
Dec. 15, at 4:50 a.m. in Hospice House. Stephanie was born on
October 11, 1918, in South Bend, to the late Walter and Harriett
(Winnicki) Baczkiewicz. She was also preceded in
death by her two brothers, Steve and William. She is survived by
her sons, Gene Lindorf of South Bend, daughter, Lillian (Michael)
Spice of Mishawaka, Jim (Tammy) Lindorf of Edwardsburg and
Karl (Nancy) Lindorf of Niles; four grandchildren, Chelsea,
Keaton, Jesse and Joshua; sister, Wanda Macalka of
LaPorte, IN; and a brother, Casimir (Irene) Baczkiewicz of
LaPorte. Stephanie was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church
where she was a cook for over 25 years. She enjoyed sewing and
she saved stamps for over 50 years for Children's Charities. She
loved her children and grandchildren, and she loved the Chicago
Bulls.
Visitation will be today, Dec. 17, from 4-6 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at noon in St. Pius X Catholic Church, where friends and family may gather at 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Gardens, Granger. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
