SOUTH BEND - Eloise Lindley, 75, of
Brookmede Drive, died at 4 a.m. today in her home following an
illness. Mrs. Lindley was a private piano teacher for 40 years in
the area. She was born Feb. 7, 1918, in Alexandria, Ohio, and
lived in South Bend for 47 years, coming from Culver.
On Aug. 30, 1946, in Culver, as Eloise Stinchcomb,
she married John P. Lindley. He survives, with a daughter,
Christine A. Lindley of Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Randy J. of
Mishawaka; three grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Lindley of
South Bend; and a brother, William T. Stinchcomb of South Bend.
She attended Indiana University and was a member of Chi-Omega
Sorority. She was also a member of St. Paul's Memorial United
Methodist Church and the Kiwanianne Club of Mish-A-Bend.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in
Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in
Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6:30 to 8
p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be
made to the church or Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
