Elizabeth E. Lindbergh, 83, of Bowman
Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday,
March 22, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend.
Elizabeth was born on Sept. 23, 1916, in Sawyer, Mich., to Fred
and Edith (Rose) Rantz, who both have preceded her
in death.
On Aug. 31, 1938, Elizabeth married Byron O.
Lindbergh, who preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 1989. She was
also preceded in death by her three brothers, Dale Rantz, Gilbert
Rantz and Edward Rantz; and by a sister, Pearl Conroy. Elizabeth
leaves to cherish her memories her two daughters, Sonja E. Schubert
of Broadview, Ill., and Victoria L. (James) Mariel of
Goshen, Ind.; her brothers, Fred Rantz, Elmer Rantz and Emery
Rantz, all of Michigan, and Gerald Rantz of Florida; her two
sisters, Geraldine Smith of Florida and Doris Craft
of Michigan; and by a granddaughter and three
great-grandchildren. Elizabeth was a member of the Gloria Dei
Lutheran Church and the Auxiliary of the V.F.W.
Friends may visit with the family from 9:30
a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, in
the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, Ind., with Pastor Denise
Grant from Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, South Bend, officiating.
Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
