Frank G. Lifke, 85, of East Marion Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 11 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, in the St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka. Frank was born on April 23, 1914, in Mishawaka, to the late Anna and John Lifke.

On May 25, 1935, Frank married Germaine Stevens in South Bend, who survives along with a son, Frank C. Lifke of Park Rapids, Minn. He is also survived by three granddaughters, Linda L. Peterson of St. Louis, Mich.; Laurie S. (Kevin) Kaczmarek of Mishawaka and Angie M. (Guy) Kubiak of South Bend, also surviving are eight great-grandchildren, Kurt and Kathie Peterson of St. Louis, Mich., Mitch Barrier and Trisha Kaczmarek, both of Mishawaka, Tina Lifke, Shannon Kubiak, Brittany Kubiak and Nikki Kubiak, all of South Bend. Frank was retired from the Uniroyal Corp. after 40 years, in 1974. He was the recreation supervisor.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. There will be a short prayer just before 8 p.m. Saturday. Cremation will take place with burial at a later date.
